This website presents the idea of a United People Organization (UPO), a democratic organization to be founded by global civil society itself.
In response to the profound democratic deficit in global politics, where international decisions are made without the participation of the world’s citizens, the UPO seeks to create a new political level that includes and represents all people on an equal basis and, for the first time, gives humanity its own political voice.
At its core is the idea that humanity, united and organized within a common institution, can become more than a loose collection of billions of individuals. The UPO seeks to give visible expression to this unity by creating a democratically elected World Parliament, a representative Council, and an open global citizenship. It does not seek power in the traditional sense. Rather, it serves as a corrective through moral authority, democratic legitimacy, and the potential of collective intelligence and global cooperation.
The UPO understands diversity as a source of strength and unity as the foundation of vibrant civil society cooperation. Its way of working is based on participation and a transparent culture of dialogue and feedback. By bringing together the voices and capacities of people around the world, it seeks to serve the well-being of the planetary community.
The realization of this vision follows the principle of self-constitution and envisages the following initial steps:
- publishing the idea worldwide through this website and other social media channels;
- inviting provisional registrations as a form of public feedback and support;
- preparing a founding assembly once sufficient public resonance has been achieved.
This approach is both pragmatic and practical. It outlines a realistic path by which people around the world can connect, become effective together, and organize global elections for a Parliament of Humanity. Every new registration with the UPO strengthens and expands this emerging political reality.
The goal is to bring the UPO into being as soon as possible, with as many people as possible, thereby establishing global civil society as a political subject and enabling it to act collectively.
